National Account Sales Manager
As a National Account Manager, my role involved overseeing key accounts such as B&Q, Topps Tiles, Wolseley Group, and Travis Perkins. My primary responsibilities include fostering robust relationships with essential purchasing departments, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external marketing and range development teams. Act as the principal point of contact for these significant national accounts and responsible for achieving sales targets.
Overview
During my tenure as National Account Manager, within a portfolio of national accounts ranging from nationwide retailers and builders merchants B&Q was the largest account in terms of revenue. Initially, Johnson Tiles ranked third among the incumbent suppliers in revenue. However, by building strong relationships with key purchasing and operational personnel and increasing trust, product knowledge, and developing range propositions, Johnson Tiles became the primary supplier to B&Q. It also turned into a key strategic partner for Kingfisher as the DIY group unified its procurement strategy. With the backing of a dynamic support team, we managed to increase business significantly before I transitioned to a new role within the organisation.
